DAY 01 :

Arrival Delhi or Kolkata

Upon arrival at New Delhi International Airport, meet to our representative and transfer to hotel for rest of the night (generally the International flights arrives in mid night at Delhi)


DAY 02 :

Delhi or Kolkata-Guwahati

Moring transfers to New Delhi Airport, connect flight to Guwahati. Arrive at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati and meet assistance on arrival.

  • Guwahati is the state capital of Assam situated near the river bank of the mighty Brahmaputra
  • Visit Kamakhya temple, the head-quarter of the Hindu trantrikism
  • Have lunch in a traditional Assamese restaurant
  • Transfer to hotel in the city centre
  • In the afternoon, visit the Assam state museum, Kalakshetra (an Assamese cultural centre). Overnight at Hotet


DAY 03 :

Guwahati-Kaziranga (217 kms)

Morning drive to Kaziranga National park, the home of the One Horn Rhinoceros, Bengal Tiger and many other birds & animals.

  • On arrival check in Resort, have lunch
  • Later go for jeep safari inside the park. Overnight halt at Kaziranga


DAY 04 :

Kaziranga-Itanagar (290 kms)

  • Early morning go for Elephant safari to have a close encounter with the unicorn
  • Have breakfast and later drive to Itanagar
  • Visit the state Museum, where one can find the complete collection of tribal culture & tradition of tribes of Arunachal Pradesh, visit local market.

Overnight halt at Itanagar


DAY 05 :

Itanagar-Ziro (167 kms)

  • Morning visit Mahayana and Hinayana (Theravada) Buddhist monastery,
  • Later drive to Ziro, the home of the Apatani tribe
  • En route visit Nyishi tribal villages. Overnight Hotel/ Tourist Lodge at Ziro


DAY 06 :

Ziro

Breakfast at hotel.

  • Visit ethnic Apatani village of Hong, Hari, Hija
  • Afternoon visit Bulla village
  • Late afternoon visit the local market. Overnight Hotel/ Tourist Lodge at Ziro


DAY 07 :

Ziro-Daporijo (168 kms)

Morning drive to Daporijo, the district headquarters of Upper Subansiri district.

  • En route visit Nyishi tribal village of Pamluk, Boa-Simla, Raga

Overnight Circuit House/ Village tourist lodge at Daporijo.


DAY 08 :

Daporijo-Nacho

Drive to Nacho which is recently open for foreign tourist in 2008,

  • Is the home of the Tagin tribe. Visit villages and meet the locals

Overnight Inspection at the bungalow/ local House.


DAY 09 :

Nacho-Dumporijo

Morning drive back to Dumporijo which is 15 kms from Daporijo divisional headquarters. Overnight at Dumporijo.


DAY 10 :

Dumporijo – Aalo (164 kms)

Morning drive to Aalo,

  • En route visit Galo tribal villages,
  • On arrival at Aalo visit the District Museum and craft centre (Emporium)

DAY 11 :

Aalo

Morning excursion drives to visit Gallo tribal village of Kamba and Kerang. Overnight Hotel at Aalo.


DAY 12 :

Aalo-Mechuka (180 kms)

Breakfast at hotel, later proceed to Mechuka,

  • The last sub-divisional headquarter near Tibetan Autonomous Region and the home of the Memba tribe
  • They follow Mahayana sect of Buddhism

Overnight Inspection bungalow at Mechuka.


DAY 13 :

Mechuka

Breakfast at hotel, than commence trek to visit Buddhist monastery,

  • Later visit holy site of both Sikh and Buddhist religion, come back for lunch
  • In the afternoon, visit village around Mechuka and have an overnight Inspection at the bungalow in Mechuka.


DAY 14 :

Mechuka–Aalo (180kms)

Morning drive back to Aalo for overnight, visit the local market in Aalo. Overnight halt in Hotel.


DAY 15 :

Aalo-Pasighat (105kms)

Morning drive to Pasighat, the district headquarter of East Siang district,

  • Enroute visit Adi-Minyong village of Pangin, Renging,
  • Later excursion of local village far from the Pasighat market

Overnight halt in Hotel.


DAY 16 :

Pasighat-Mebo-Aohali-Pasighat (120 kms)

Morning drive across Siang river on ferry to visit

  • Adi-Padam village of Mebo and Idu-Mishmi village of Aohali,
  • Have local lunch in the village

Afternoon drive back to Pasighat and have an overnight halt in Hotel.


DAY 17 :

Pasighat-Sibsagar

Morning drive to ferry port at Bogibeel ghat, board ferry to sail across Brahmaputra river to Kareng ghat and continue drive to Sibsagar, the historical capital of the Ahom dynasty who ruled the Brahmaputra valley for over 6 (six) hundred years, one of the longest ruling dynasty of the World. On arrival check-in to the Hotel for an overnight stay.


DAY 18 :

Sibsagar-Majuli (89kms)

Morning visit the tallest Lord Shiva temple,

  • Rang Ghar the Ahom Amphitheatre,
  • Later drive to Nimati ghat, cross Brahmaputra to Majuli island, the largest inhabitat river island in the world recognized by UNESCO as World heritage site
  • Majuli is the home of the followers of Vaisnavism sect taught by Sri Sankaradeva and Mishing tribe the second largest tribe of Assam. Enjoy local Mishing food and drink.

Overnight stay in Local bamboo hut.


DAY 19 :

Majuli

Breakfast at hotel or guest house,

  • Visit the Shatras (monastery),
  • Afternoon witness the organized monastic dance

Overnight stay in Local bamboo Hut.


DAY 20 :

Majuli- Jorhat

Morning visit Mishing tribal village, and in the afternoon after lunch, board the ferry to Jorhat. Have an overnight stay in the hotel in Jorhat.


DAY 21 :

Jorhat-Dibrugarh-Delhi or Kolkata

Morning drive to Dibrugarh to catch the afternoon flight to Delhi for onward destination. On arrival meet to our assistance and transfer to hotel.


DAY 22 :

Delhi Or Kolkata Departure

Full day local sightseeing of the city. In time dep., transfer to onward destination.
